For those who are in a relationship, how do you feel about your significant other posting #MCM (Man Crush Monday) or #WCW (Women Crush Wednesday) pictures on their social media? Do you find it disrespectful or no big deal?
I ask this because I came across a clip of the show “The Real” and all the hosts stated what they felt about it. Tamera Mowry-Housley said that she wouldn’t approve of it, it would indeed make her uncomfortable.
Hmmmmmmmmmm, I have to say, my thoughts on this are: I wouldn’t care too much, but it couldn’t be every damn week that you’re posting a crush, especially if I’m not thrown into the mix somewhere. On one hand if you are posting celebrities, that doesn’t bother me, because you may don’t have a shot with them anyway (lol) and everyone has a celebrity crush, it’s normal. My celebrity crush is Idris Elba and my husband is well aware, but I haven’t posted him as my crush on social media. To be honest when it comes to that I just don’t see the point, that person will never see it, and at the most you will get a couple of likes. I get nothing out of it, so that would be my reason for not partaking in that little social media fad.
Now to get to the juicy question – What if your significant other didn’t post a celebrity? What if it was a girl/guy that they follow?
I feel like that’s when it gets a little tricky, because who the hell is this person? Where did they come from? You are obviously attracted to her/him to give them this much praise, and be bold enough to blast it via social media.
What do you guys think? Let’s hear it!!
