I don’t listen to rap a lot, I’m more of an R&B person, but I definitely knew who Nipsey Hussle was, besides his amazing contributions to the rap game. He was an entrepreneur, a mogul, and a philanthropist. His businesses included a hamburger restaurant, a fish market and a barbershop that brought jobs to all Hyde Park locals. Nip opened the workspace Vector 90 last year and was involved with the Destination Crenshaw arts project. He was also part of the team that reopened the roller rink World on Wheels in 2017.
I’m sorry but this was NOT gang related, that man had no beef with anyone, but he was about to finish a documentary about Dr. Sebi and all kinds of facts were going to be exposed about the pharmaceutical companies (and how they participated in Dr. Sebi’s death). In an interview Nipsey said in his own words: “if they kill me for this documentary, ride for me” . (It’s like he knew, and now so do we). It could have easily been someone who just didn’t like him and wanted revenge for something, but either way, it’s disheartening when we continue to lose our black revolutionaries/visionaries.
My prayers go to his family, colleagues, and friends. L.A is going through it right now
Sleep in Peace Nip, we will ride for you – your death won’t be in vain!
